Kerrie Kelly - Executive Director & CEO

Kerrie Kelly joined the Insurance Council of Australia as Executive Director and CEO in April 2006. She is a lawyer who has held senior executive positions in the public and private sectors working in the fields of banking and finance, manufacturing and transport. Kerrie is also a Member of the Australian Government’s Financial Literacy Advisory Board; a Director of HSBC Bank Australia Limited, Director of the Financial Ombudsman Service Limited; Director of the Insurance Ombudsman Service Limited; Director of Finance Industry Council of Australia Ltd, and a member of CEDA’s NSW State Advisory Council.
Kerrie has spearheaded the Insurance Council’s Strategic Blueprints and in 2009 is focussing the Insurance Council’s public policy attention on the critical areas of:
· Flood Project
· Resilient Communities
· Obligation of Self-insurance
· Benefits of Insurance
· Insurance Taxes
· Harmonisation of Workers’ Compensation
